My sister Lorraine sent me this post yesterday. I am not sure it is (all) advice that I would take but I think it is cool that someone came up with it – and it has a strong ending. 👍
I don’t know how well I would do, living right off the grid. I do enjoy watching the survival shows on tv. I am not a fan of ‘Survivor’ as it is too contrived for me. I prefer ‘Alone’ or ‘Naked and Afraid’, especially the latter. I think they should do a senior season. Put a bunch of wrinkly, droopy, naked, old folks like us on there and everybody would be afraid.
That is it for today. I don’t have any particular ‘piece of my mind’ to share today. We had young Dom last night. He was well behaved for the most part, but woke up several times during the night. He was inclined to share those moments so I didn’t get a lot of sleep. 😴
Take care and have a great day💞
Lovely thoughts.

With my health, it wouldn’t be a good idea to be off the grid!

Thank you, Dorothy! I thought so, too.

I probably wouldn’t last too long either. Especially if I had to drink with the horses or eat with the worms. 🥺

Humm..maybe I might not drink that water..but the little house would be a place I would love to stay.

I think it is in Assiniboine Park in the middle of Winnipeg, Manitoba so probably wouldn’t be too rustic of a stay for me. 🙂

I think the older we get the more difficult it would be to live off the grid. Maybe experience in so many areas would help, but we have gotten so used to refrigerators, freezers, a furnace for the winter, TV, computers, etc. We would be lost and would likely have to give up so much. Not that we couldn’t do it if we had to. Thanks for sharing!

I think it would be nice to go back to simpler days and simpler ways, but I would need some younger muscle to carry the load no doubt. 🙂

I’m not one for off the grid living. I can barely camp. Haha, I love the outdoors but enjoy the comforts of a nice home! I enjoy watching the shows you mentioned but that’s it, I’d never partake! Lol 😆 fun post! ❤️ Enjoy your weekend!! 🥰

I am the same and I would definitely never cut it on any survivor show! I have trouble opening a can with our manual can opener. Not about to wrestle any baby alligators with my bare hands. Much less eat it. 🤢

I had to laugh when I read your post. I just now finished a post complaining about people and their nakedness. lol It takes a lot of long hours of hard work to live off the grid. As much as I would enjoy it if I was young, at my age their would be no way. Not sure I would follow all of the advice that you shared though. 🙂

I will have to check out your post! I am not a nakedness person myself. I grew up in a relatively large French Catholic family. My kids always said I have to go into a room and close the door to change my coat. 🤷♀️ I don’t think I could ever live off the grid. I can barely manage the conveniences of being on the grid.

My family was always modestly dressed and that is the way I grew up to be.

I would be somewhat selective

Great knowledge shared dear Anne. I knew some of the advice to survive from the military. I liked the advice about insects and mushrooms.
