Happy New Year🎊

What is more exciting than celebrating a new year? January 1st – the first day of an entire year of potential, possibilities, and fresh opportunities. 🥳

Some of us are less excited than others.

This year is a bit different for me. On February 14th, 2022, I embarked on a health and wellness journey that has become a new and better way of life for me. Lately, I have been anticipating wrapping up the end of Year One of my new lifestyle and starting a fresh and fearless Year Two on February 14th, 2023. Which is great, but what to do with January 1st, the traditional day for kicking off a new year?

I hadn’t thought about it much, but while messaging with granddaughter Genie this morning she asked me if I had any goals for 2023. I had to give it some thought but I decided YES – this the year!

2023 is the year I suck it up and get back behind the wheel to do my share of the household driving (which I have been rather shirking for a number of years now). But no more! As much as I have never enjoyed being a driver, I am a relatively competent and experienced driver and the time has come.

Not only am I going to do more driving this year, but I am going to enjoy it. That is what I do now. 🛻

Anyone else with a goal for 2023? I would love to hear all about it. 🤗

Happy New Year! Take care and have a great year. 💞🌟

  1. Driving isn’t for everyone for whatever reason, I admire your commitment! I’ve been driving for 46 years now as of 2023 and have had a couple of nasty accidents which were not my fault.

Molly looks so huge next to the grandkids, wow! Keep on going with your exercises too, you can do it, Anne Marie! Happy New Year to you and yours. ☺️

  2. Thank you, John. It’s not so much my driving as everyone else’s on the road that bothers me – and unpredictable road conditions.
Molly is pretty big but then Cason is only four so not very big. Molly did earn her ‘gentle giant’ Pyrenees trait this week. Those boys (and their dogs) were all over her and she was fine with it all.

  3. Aww, that’s wonderful, way to go, Molly! I use a Dash Cam which hangs from the windscreen, go figure, maybe you should get one. They do help prove who is right and who is wrong to the police and court. Your road conditions are far different from ours until you take a drive into the mountains.

  4. Ha, never try driving down here in Vegas, Anne Marie! I see those Driver In Training cars once in a while. These people are getting broken in under very stressful and challenging conditions!

  6. “Baby [Aka Anne Marie] likes to rock it like a boogie woogie choo choo train.” Maybe my goal will be to listen to that song more and get my boogie woogie going again. Happy New Year, and keep on boogie woogien!

  7. Love your 2023 goal, Anne. You can do it! One of mine involves driving too. I’m going to buy a cargo van and convert it into a camper, so Alice and I can hit the road for some adventures! Beep beep 😊🚐
