breakfast – Seclusion 101 with AnneMarie

The sun is shining but it isn’t throwing much heat so far this morning. At least it is warm inside and the sun makes for a cheery view out the window.

Once again, we didn’t spend an impressive amount of time in the kitchen yesterday. We had to go out to pick up bread so Dan decided he should take me out to Houston’s for supper. Fun fact… Dan and my first ‘formal’ date was on Dan’s birthday. He and his father went to his aunt’s for supper and then he picked me up to go to a show. After some discussion as to what show to see, we made our first poor decision together as a couple. We went to see ‘The English Patient’. On our way home we stopped at Houston’s for coffee. They have since relocated to new premises but it is still our ‘special’ place. (We haven’t been back to the theatre.)

So, while it is not homemade, I enjoyed my supper last night.

I did put out a call to my sisters and nieces in an effort to share some home cooking with you. Lorraine was the only one who answered the call and her offering fell a bit short.

All is not lost. If you have gotten this far, I did make breakfast this morning! Using a couple of leftover biscuits, a couple of sausage patties, a couple of eggs, and a couple of slices of cheese – I whipped up a couple of breakfast biscuits.
