Our yard is coming together, so I thought I would share a few random photos. From day one this year, we have had smoke drifting in and out from Alberta wildfires and I have been fighting off a lung infection that just doesn’t want to let go. Most of the outside work has fallen on husband Dan. If you compare our yard this year with how it has been in the past, there is a clear winner when it comes to landscaping around here. (It isn’t me 😂).

That is about it for today. I will have more photos to share as the season progresses.
Take care and have a beautiful SUNDAY! 🌞💞
The Molly fence looks good, I hope your lungs will be okay, Anne Marie. I’ve seen videos on New York and other cities back east that have been hit very hard by the wildfires in Ontario. Terrible!

New York has been hell! Wildfire smoke is so bad – full of toxic chemicals and carbon monoxide. 😢

The garden is coming along nicely! I have done squat on my yard other than mow so far this year. It just seems like one mess after another of late, but I guess it has always been a bit (or a lot!) of that.

My effort is generally round up plants and stick them in pots. 😂. Dan’s far more on the ball yard wise, but he is usually too exhausted from work to deal with it. He has been laid off since February so he’s getting bored now and feeling way more up to it. 💖

Sometimes there are little presents along with the messes.

I hope the smoke has left that city now! I have an online friend who just moved out that awful place, she and her new husband chose wisely!

Thank you, Martha! I think that one came from Dan’s grandparent’s house.

Sure hoping your lungs heal and you are doing better very soon, Anne. The fence looks great and all the plants are beautiful. It is nice to see beautiful plants, as I have none right now.

Thank you, Mags. The one thing I love about this place is that we do have room for lots of plants in the summer and this year they are thriving. 💞

That looks like a serious fence. I hope that it lasts.

It has been reinforced. Hopefully it lasts another year of Molly puppyhood.

I am thinking of getting rid of my punching bags. They seem to be winning our bouts these days!

It is the one thing that seems to be catching Dan’s attention. The past few days he has been taking a round out of the speedbag when he goes past it. 🤗

Your water feature inspired me to do something like that in our garden. Going to have to keep an eye open for an old water pump like that one.

I hope you find one! 👍

I first thought you were keeping out deer or bear, both frequent around here. I can see why Molly-proofing would be a good idea. After learning what she did to that cushion, I have new respect for her destructive potential!

She is pretty awesome! We don’t hear about bears in the city here but we do get moose and beavers.

A moose wandered onto our airport runway last week. Beavers abound at the nearby river. One peaceful canoe trip a loud splash made us jump as we saw we had been very near one.
