My herd of elephants has been expanding lately. This quiet Sunday afternoon seems like an opportune time to introduce the latest arrivals.

Wishing you a peaceful, happy, sunny Sunday today! 🌞💖

Annemarie,
We have a golden elephant in the foyer, pointing toward the front door with its trunk UP. Is that significant? Betty’s Google research is providing a lot of mixed messages so she’s going to pick the one she likes the best. 🤣. Betty enjoyed seeing your collection!
Now let’s hear Jennifer’s camping trip story ( with her permission, of course ).
You’ve sparked our curiosity. 😋

We are, indeed, surviving! However, it has been the strangest weather this summer that I can ever recall. My veggies aren’t doing particularly well. Such is life.

I think it is supposed to be good luck for trunk up and facing east – so it depends which direction your door faces, I guess. I have elephants doing all kinds of things and facing every which way, but I love elephants so I feel lucky every time a new one joins my herd. I will try to get a blog out about the camping trip this week.

Great news: the door does face east! BTW: Dan’s thoughtfulness made Betty smile 😊.

It sounds like at least one of them went on to the great bathtub in the river though?

I love all your elephants!! And I love the flowers you shared too! I’ve been so busy lately, but I wanted to tell you things are better with my family in AZ. I was able to visit there a couple weekends ago and my son is back communicating with us which we are so thankful for, my heart is better. There’s still much he and his wife need to work on so not sure what the future holds. At least he’s back in our lives. Enjoy the week ahead my friend!! ❤️💚💙❤️

I have a similar collection of sea otters. I enjoy that no one ever has to wonder what to get me as a gift! I love to see your parallel array of elephants.

At last count I had a couple of hundred – inside and out, from a stuffed elephant bigger than me to a teeny tiny pewter elephant. Each has its own special story.

My sister collected elephants, and her herd had a way of expanding too.

Your sea otter collection would be amazing to see. We have one walrus and one rhinoceros in our collection. The walrus was from a trophy Dan one. The little plastic rhinoceros was from our granddaughter Prim when she was two. She was so proud of herself for giving me her little toy ‘elephant’ I didn’t have the heart to burst her bubble. It still sits front and center on one of my elephant shelves.

Thank you, Mags. There’s always room for more elephants. And I agree on the bouquet. 🌞

If it ever stops raining down here in northern New England, things might actually grow! Take care.

I have a grandson who would love your frog collection! I am also struggling to stay on the loop since we got Molly!

All of your elephants are awesome! I love them as well and have a collection of my own. If you don’t already know, there’s a really cool elephant sanctuary in Tennessee. I believe it’s called The Elephant Sanctuary. They rescue elephants. Anyway, they have love cams you can check out. ❤️

So cool that you have your own elephant collection and it’s too cool that Tennessee has an elephant sanctuary. I will definitely check it out. 💓

My sister collected horse, my dad rhinos. It is fun to learn about what calls to people to collect.

I would love to see a horse or rhino collection. It is a strange thing with me and elephants. My parents bought my siblings dolls and teddy bears, but for some reason my first toy was a big fluffy stuffed elephant. That was my only elephant for the longest time until I met Dan (at the same time as he lost his mother). She had a few elephants and his Dad gave them to me. Then my Mom passed away and she had a few elephants that came to me. By then everyone decided that I had an elephant collection and they contributed to the herd. 💞

The clerk where I have my physical exams has a lovely collection of tiny elephants at her work station. They do seem to call out to be collected. I love the personal connections for you.
