If our local groundhog declared an end to winter earlier this week, Mother Nature did not get the message.

We got a fresh drop of snow last night, we are expecting a lot more in the next forty eight hours, and while our temperatures are out of the deep freeze, they are far from balmy.
The good news is, our weather has us craving comfort food, much of which is nutritionally sound. Our stew last night was full of protein and fresh vegetables and I’m thinking chilli could be on the menu tonight.
This fresh snow also provides an opportunity for a good workout and fresh air. That snow isn’t going to clear itself and even if Dan gets our (NEW) snowblower back up and running, there are places a snowblower just can’t go.

That beef stew sounds delicious! And I’m so jealous of the snow! Sort of…it makes my job super tedious and annoying when snow closes my school, but I still love it!

Thank you! Chances are there will be more than enough snow to share this week.

Although it’s a pain to deal with in the winter, I’m sure all of the moisture will be most welcome, come spring. Stew is one of my favourite foods, and especially during cold weather. I love the flowers you share at the end of all of your posts, Annemarie. Are those photos of flowers from your yard?

I’m glad Dan has a new snowblower to deal with the snow. I don’t know how farmers are thinking this year but probably happy. Thank you! Most if not all are photos of the flowers we have had in our yard. The pink ones today were in our front yard flower bed a couple of years ago. They were really pretty and had lots of blossoms.
