Daily Food Diary – Day 79 of 365

It is 79 days since I became mindful of everything I consume,  and started  keeping track of it in my Daily Food Diary.

Yesterday, was not a stellar day for staying on track.  We opted for takeout from Taco Time.  It is one of the few restaurants here where I do not have to worry about avoiding yeast.  That is good, but the sodium served up in their food is through the roof and they do pack in the calories!

I was mindful of the sodium when Dan and I were deciding what to order.  We don’t order in  or eat out often, so I don’t beat myself up when we do.  But, I am still mindful of whatever I order and act accordingly.

Last night, that meant cancelling the Caesar I was planning to indulge in last night.  I wanted one, and I certainly deserved one, but no! After I finished doing our taxes (which made me crazy as usual) I filled my water bottle and sat down to enjoy my tacos, burrito, and Mexi Fries – almost guilt free.

Feeling like Maddy in her self portrait!

  1. You still were watching all you were taking in and that is a good thing. Anne your flowers are gorgeous. I sure enjoy seeing the ones you post pictures of. You, Dan and Molly have a great day. Hugs

  2. I hope all the best for you getting lots of beautiful flowers out and Molly leaving all the pots alone. Chancy liked empty flower pots. He would roll them, grab them and shake them. LOL

  3. Molly drags them off and smashed them. When she was a little puppy she had a collection of small stones outside. (Weird) I gathered the up one day and put them in the bottom of a small pot that I was going to put a plant into. She dumped them out a few times, I put them back. She finally took the pot and smashed it. She’s been on an anti-pot mission ever since. 🤦 I thought she was the only dog obsessed with plant pots. She had a thing for pails too.

  4. Lovely photos and portrait! The sodium is bad for anyone, especially those with chronic BP issues. Well done! Taxes, I wonder what it’s like to file a tax return with Ottawa?
