It is 132 Days since I began posting my Daily Food Diary! 🤗 It is also 5 days since I began my latest round of antibiotics and Prednisone.
Yesterday started way too early. The latest episode of Prednisone side effects woke me up at 4:00 am and I wasn’t getting back to sleep. Fortunately, the vibrating eased off and I was able to have a relatively productive day.
I got my morning aerobics done…
And we took, Molly for a bath at Pet Value..
Molly and I walked home after her bath, since she was still pretty damp. It was only one kilometer and supposedly took us fourteen minutes but it seemed much further and much longer! I don’t think my health app included for the poop stop (3 BAGS full!) or stops to sniff every tree, sign, post, and blade of grass.

After we returned home, I still had enough in me to do a bit of house work, plant care, and to change over the blankets on the living room furniture.
For supper, I spatchcocked my first chicken – ever! That was not as much of an ordeal as I assumed it would be, but my kitchen scissors may never be the same.
Dan barbecued the chicken, once I had it spread out, oiled and seasoned. It was pretty good for a first effort, in my mind! It will be fun to try again later in the season when I have fresh herbs from the garden to season it with. 👍

That’s it for today. Take care and have a great day! 💗🌞

we spatchcock a lot. Yours looks great! I usually put the chicken on a bed of lemon slices for moisture and flavor. I had a pair of scissors that would come apart for cleaning. They disappeared a few months back and they were a grocery store promo so don’t know if I’ll ever get more but they were AWESOME!

Oh I knew about lemon and I forgot! But I didn’t have a fresh lemon so there is that. 🙄 We have scissors like that in the garage but they aren’t going to touch anything I eat. Have a great day! 🌞💕

Mollie was such a good girl getting her bath. Chancy never liked baths and it was quite the ordeal giving him one. That chicken looks absolutely delicious!. Beautiful photo, it looks so peaceful there.

Thank you, Mags. Mollie liked her bath but she didn’t appreciate the blow drier. The chicken was a very good first try! Have a great rest of your day, Mags. 💕🌞

She was telling Dan how mean I am to her. 😒

Yikes!! That’s difficult to hear, Anne. 🤭

She doesn’t do it very often. She never does it if Dan is doing anything to groom her or doing her ear drops or anything. Just me – she didn’t like the blow drier so she was ‘crying’ for Dan to save her – from me. 🤦

I don’t know if you saw my sister’s comment about putting sliced lemon under it to keep it moist. She must cook it on a flat grille.

It worked well for barbecuing a whole chicken. Every bit of it was cooked perfect. 👍
