Daily Food Diary – Day 172 of 365

It is 172 Days since I began my Daily Food Diary! 🤗

Today I am celebrating another non scale win.  It is nice to see numbers dropping on the scale – especially knowing  that the pounds I am losing are pounds of unhealthy fat.

But, it is equally exciting to be able to reach into my closet, take out a favourite pair of jeans from my younger years, and find that I can fit into them – comfortably!

First day of summer and cool enough to call for winter wear. 🤷

These Size 6 jeans bring me full circle to where I began three decades ago.  Size 6 to Size 0 to Size 12 and BACK!   🥳

  1. Yesterday a friend was teasing me because I weigh myself every day and I acknowledged that I did not need to do it because the looseness or tightness of my pants are the most accurate measure of my weight!

  2. You look great, Anne! Yay for the weight loss. I’ve lost weight recently too for reasons I don’t know but I’m down to 203 pounds, yay! Keep up the great work, Anne. ❤️😊

  3. Oh my gosh, Anne. I never considered that possibility. Thank you!

As with my mother who passed in 2012, I am now talking to dad’s photos in my home. Dad and I had a somewhat rocky relationship over the years but as dad aged, we were able to talk things out for the most part.

It’s almost one year since dad passed, July 7th, 2024. I still feel orphaned… but that isn’t true of course.

  4. A lot of that year has been spent flying back and forth across the country, dealing with everything they left behind, all the emotional stuff. It was a lot and eventually it takes a lot out of you. I always have a delayed reaction to anything like that.

  5. Thank you for reminding me of this, Anne. You are a wonderful friend!

I will fly to Michigan next month but this isn’t a work trip, rather a fun trip to see the family. Boating on the lake we grew up on, good food and fun.

    Life goes on.
