It is Day 216 of my Daily Food Diary.
We are home and our heatwave is over. It is forecast to be cooler and wetter today. The humidity is already 100%. (Good thing I watered our garden yesterday!)
Between wildfire smoke and high humidity this summer, my lungs are struggling. I can’t imagine how I would manage if I wasn’t on inhalers, using my Aerobika, doing aerobics, breathing exercises, weights and cardio, walking (weather permitting) – and running (a little bit).
It’s funny, in an odd way, that I used to think working out was for athletes and healthy young people who joined gyms to keep in shape.
I am infinitely grateful that I have learned that living a life based on exercise and healthy habits is for anyone wanting to enjoy quality of life. (Even seventy year olds with multiple chronic lung conditions 😊).

100% humidity? I couldn’t do anything! I’m glad that you are coping with the smoke and humidity, Anne.

I’m making French Macarons the past few days, and they hate the humidity too, Anne. Many adjustments are needed to make them work (a/c, fans, longer drying time, longer baking time, etc). So far, so good. That weather just doesn’t want to smarten up for you. You’re doing a great job of working around it.

We got lucky while we were in Gravelbourg. It was hot but at least it was dry. It is really wet down there though. A lot of water in the fields. I’m glad you have been able to make the macarons work so far. I’m sure they will be perfect! 😊💞

Very sorry about the wildfire smoke, AnneMarie. It’s gotten quite bad in Toronto so I can’t even imagine what it’s like closer to the source! Hope you all get a reprieve soon.

I think you have gotten it worse in Toronto than we have. It is so odd the way the smoke moves. That being said, it doesn’t take much (forest fire) smoke to bother me.
