It is 231 Days since I started my Daily Food Diary.Β That is a full 33 weeks! π€π
Our weather has been warmer than usual the past couple of days so we have been taking Molly for her walk earlier.
Yesterday morning when we got back, I offered to make Denvers for Dan and I. I cracked the first couple of eggs and they were typical. I took the next two out of a new carton. Both of them cracked lengthwise.
This happened a few weeks ago. We bought two or three cartons of eggs and all (or most) of the eggs cracked lengthwise. π―
I checked with Google and read that I was holding the egg wrong.Β Seriously – I have been cracking eggs for over six decades.Β I think I know how to hold an egg.Β Besides which,Β even when Dan would crack the eggs in these cartons, they would crack lengthwise.
Why?Β Β The eggs are perfectly fine.Β The shells just break weird.

I open every egg carton before I buy and turn each egg in the carton to be sure itβs not stuck to the bottom. For transport home, Iβm in charge of handling the eggs like a newborn baby while hubs handles all of the other groceries π

Dan goes over everything he buys. If it isn’t flaw free, it’s not coming home with him. π

Google sure doesn’t know all about cracking eggs does it? I have had some I thought I may need a hammer to crack and some others that crack so easily my thumbs go into the egg and break the yolk.. They taste like eggs should, but now days I never know how they are going to crack.

Maybe Google just hasn’t seen the chickens we deal with nowadays. Or maybe a chicken wrote that response to deflect blame? I don’t know, but as long as eggs taste like normal eggs, it’s all good. Have a great day, Mags! βΊοΈπ
