This is Day 248 of my Daily Food Diary and I am still on a roll! 🥳
I am still feeling pretty adequate on Day 4 of my antibiotics and Prednisone. A couple of news bites since yesterday morning.
* The hospital surgical unit called yesterday to book my hernia repair for September 19th. Unfortunately, they have to delay it until I have the Prednisone out of my system, but at least I am on their radar! And someone else gets their procedure bumped up. 👍
* I got the results of my blood tests. I’m no expert but they seem to indicate that I have an infection. 👍
* And… I have plans this weekend to help daughter Jen work on her Jeep. She is changing out the motor, transmission, wheels etc. from the Jeep they rolled a couple of years ago to the one they bought this spring. My mechanical proficiency won’t help her out, but I’m pretty sure I can hand her the tools she needs and take away the parts she doesn’t. 👍

So, is it common for extreme hunger to follow the zoomies, for you, Anne? It sounds like you’re feeling better overall and that’s what matters. Enjoy your Saturday!

Prednisone amps up my appetite with or without the zoomies. Thank you, Terry! You too! 💖😊

I am glad to hear that maybe it won’t be much longer before you can have surgery. Have fun being with Jen while helping her. I am impressed that she is repairing her jeep. Pretty flowers. Hugs

Thank you, Mags. I don’t know where Jen got her skills but she can do pretty much anything she wants mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical (like hooking up appliances or installing ceiling fans). I have trouble turning on anything of the like. 🤦 Hugs and have a great day! 💓😊

It is great she can do that. Sure saves a lot of money. Hugs and I hope you feel great today.

Thank you, Mags. I am feeling pretty good. It sure helps me to worry less about Jen – especially when she travels to remote locations further north by herself. She can generally deal with any vehicle issues on the road. 👍

Glad to hear that you feel pretty good today. Anything that helps to not be concerned about our children is a blessing for sure.

It is definitely a blessing for me! I want them all (including our grandchildren) to be strong and independent – but my comfort zone is keeping them packed in bubble wrap. 😂

I understand that. Hugs, Anne.
