Daily Food Diary – Day 255 of 365

Today is Day 255 of my Daily Food Diary! πŸ’

Yesterday and today our weather has been WARM and WET.  I think we have gotten more rain in these two days than we have had all summer.  And the humidity is through the roof!

Things are looking green and clean around here, butΒ I can’t imagine that this is what the farmers need right now.

I am taking one final (regular) workout day off  today but I am excited about getting back into my routine on Monday.  It will be fun to see what I can do on our ‘new to us’ treadmill, now that my lung infection is cleared up.

Today, I will proceed with my fall cleaning and do a bit of baking.

Dan picked up a nice bag of apples yesterday, so I am going to make a double batch of Apple Crisp to split with Jen and Genie.   They are both excited and it will save everyone here from reading about Dan and I eating one piece of Apple Crisp a day for the next month. 😊

The flower pots are some of the ones that Dan bought this week to use on the new plant rack he is making next summer,  using  aΒ  repurposed pool ladder.

  1. Thank you, Anne! I just got back from the grocery store, when I grabbed a cart I saw that someone had left their phone in it. I took it to the service desk. Turns out that the elderly gent was looking for it so I got to meet him! A good deed for the day. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸ»

  2. Although the farmers don’t want the wet weather, sometimes I think it gives them a rest from their long days in the fields that they otherwise ight not take. We heard that east Regina had some flooding issues. Nobody needs that for sure. Is winter easier on your lungs than these wet summer days, Anne?

  3. Granddaughter Genie had flooding issues on the west side of Regina but we were good. I have had issues with temperatures under minus 20 and with dust from our forced air furnaces, but I honestly believe I am past the worst of my respiratory issues and that this winter and seasons to come will be much easier.
