Today is Day 284 of my Daily Food Diary! π
This month (October) I am focusing on how the change of season affects our diet. So far, I have waffled between summer barbecue, to hearty soups or stews, to light salads, to a full blown Thanksgiving supper.
Today, It is cold and WET!Β I am not sure there is a meal that is geared to deal with that.Β We had Denver omelets for breakfast.Β I am thinking something ‘Light Comfort’ for supper. Whatever that is?
Before the rain started coming down last night, Dan and I did a lot of yard and garden cleanup.Β Dan worked at packingΒ away the patio furniture and gazebo coverings.Β I picked the last of the tomatoes and peppers and pulled out the plants.Β

A number of the tomato plants had oddly stunted root systems, but deeply rooted or not, I got all of them pulled out and into the green bin.Β I am truly impressed with the strength I have!

It sure is! We had snow flurries earlier. They didn’t stick around but they will be back. Chicken soup sounds good!

Yummy! Looking back, just once per winter season a tiny bit of snow falls in the city, or my backyard. It is gone very quickly, yes! My home is at about 2800 foot ASL…
