Daily Food Diary – Day 284 of 365

Today is Day 284 of my Daily Food Diary! πŸ˜‰

This month (October) I am focusing on how the change of season affects our diet.  So far, I have waffled between summer barbecue, to hearty soups or stews, to light salads, to a full blown Thanksgiving supper.

Today, It is cold and WET!Β  I am not sure there is a meal that is geared to deal with that.Β  We had Denver omelets for breakfast.Β  I am thinking something ‘Light Comfort’ for supper. Whatever that is?

Before the rain started coming down last night, Dan and I did a lot of yard and garden cleanup.Β  Dan worked at packingΒ  away the patio furniture and gazebo coverings.Β  I picked the last of the tomatoes and peppers and pulled out the plants.Β

A number of the tomato plants had oddly stunted root systems, but deeply rooted or not, I got all of them pulled out and into the green bin.Β  I am truly impressed with the strength I have!

Out front, the leaves are finally falling but the grass is only getting greener as the rain continues to fall. πŸ™„

  1. Snow already? You guys live so far north I suppose it’s that time. These days I say no to snow. You must make the chicken souuup! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ»

  2. Yummy! Looking back, just once per winter season a tiny bit of snow falls in the city, or my backyard. It is gone very quickly, yes! My home is at about 2800 foot ASL…

  3. That snow yesterday was Texas calling to me, β€œCome baaack, Terry!” πŸ˜‰ Good job on all of the yard work and big congrats on your newfound strength, Anne!
