Today is Day 296 of my Daily Food Diary. π₯³
Yesterday I did not do the 30 minutes of treadmill that was on my workout plan. There was no real reason for this miss – other than my decision to indulge in a Smirnoff Ice Original with my supper. As mentioned previously, drinking alcohol is not my strong point. It took me a couple of hours to finish it and by then I did not think getting on a treadmill would be the best move. π€¦
Yesterday, I also indulged in a couple of the Halloween treats that Dan brought home a few weeks ago.

I’m not sure why it took me so long to break into the Halloween chocolate – or why they even bother making them anymore. The packaging to chocolate ratio has gotten beyond ridiculous. Homemade chocolate/peanut butter squares taste exactly the same and I can make a cake pan full without taking down a forest. Of course, one cannot hand out home baked goods for Halloween, but we generally end up eating or giving most of our Halloween treats to family anyway. π€·
I did make some Brazilian Cheese Rolls for supper last night.

That’s it for today. Take care and have a great day! β€οΈπ

The bread and food look so yummy, Anne!! I have the same oxcimiter. Cereal packages and much more have shrunk so much that its ridiculous yet they cost the same, maybe more. The prices should have dropped after the pandemic and the supply chains were restored. It’s called Human Greed.

Thanks for the recipe, Anne! Those look and sound fab! Iβll be making them sometime this winter when the weather cools down for a bit. Right now, weβre living on sandwiches, cold boiled eggs, and salads. Itβs way too hot to cook.

We have one good store chain here. They have a lot of variety, prices as reasonable as you can get these days, and a good loyalty program. (Real Canadian Superstore) But you still have to be careful – they’ll have sales 2 for $10.00 (Regular price is $4.00 each π). They do that quite frequently.

There are recipes online that make smaller batches. These ones I made are good but I for sure have to tweak the garlic for us next time – maybe the oil. Salads sound good! βΊοΈ And heat – although it’s not bad so far.

Wow, that’s a bit like a snake in the grass, eh?

Pretty weird – but Dan does our shopping. He knows prices and he always double checks ‘sale’ prices.

We like garlic – that said, I was π³ when I saw the amβt in this recipe. Iβll definitely adjust that as well .. to likely 2 smallish cloves.

Is that really how big a Reese cup is now?! Wow!
I donβt drink anymore but I do have fond memories of Smirnoff Ice on my nights out when I was younger. Definitely a smart move not to go on the treadmill after! π€£

Your lovely rolls look like they could actually roll!

At least they haven’t shrunk to the size of the ones in ice cream yet – but they are pretty sad. π I enjoy the occasional drink, but could probably do with half of a Smirnoff ice – and I would still stay off the treadmill. π
