Daily Food Diary – Day 323 of 365

This is Day 323 of my Daily Food Diary.  323 Days in and this is the closest I have come to missing posting my blog.  😳

Our humidity was finally down this morning, so I joined Dan and Molly for a  walk.   We stopped at the dog park for a while so Molly got in a good run with her friends, but set us back a bit.

We got home and I did some poo cleanup in the yard, fed the squirrels, brought in the mail, and had a bath.  By then, I was just all sorts of off track for the day.

It has been almost five months since I started taking collagen supplements.  I have seen a number of benefits and a few changes in my health/body that I wasn’t expecting.

The weirdest change could be to my hands.  They feel a little better and they are stronger, but they also look different!

They look kind of alien- ish and the color is off  (seriously difficult to take pictures of my own  hands) but my veins (or arteries?) are almost gone.  The left side photos were taken in July.

I have been noticing the change for a few months.  Whatever is going on, my blood pressure and pulse are fine.  🤷‍♀️

In front of the main branch of our library.  We drove downtown just to see this elephant (a few years ago).   Im not surprised I hadn’t seen it before – it was almost impossible to see it when we were looking for it. 😂

  1. You are welcome Anne. ☺️ Your flowers and yard always look so nice in summer. My mother LOVED to play in the dirt, she could grow anything. Since I worked for my folks (Hello Nepotism), I would often see her in different areas of the yard very early still wearing her night gown! 🥰

  2. That’s interesting about the collagen effects in your hands, Anne. As I read this, I immediately checked my hands, of course and after two months of taking the collagen, I see no difference- my veins are as prominent as ever and I know there’s no difference in the strength or colour. I guess the results are different for everyone, as with most things. I love your photo of the elephant. This past summer, after you told me about it, hubs drove me to the location so I could photograph it. Even with looking for it, we almost missed it – maybe because no matter how big, you can still see through the frame. You caught a great angle of the sculpture!

  3. I have been taking mine since the beginning of July – 3 capsules morning and night. It will be 5 months at the beginning of December. I am thinking of cutting back to 2 capsules to see if that maintains it. I haven’t had any side effects but I don’t know if it is good longterm? I’ll get blood tests done in February to see if anything is off.
