We have lots of out and about this morning, starting with a trip to the vet for blood tests for Kat. She is scheduled for dental surgery next Monday so we have to do a bit of pre-work to make sure she is good to go.
Yesterday was a quiet day spent hunkered down through another frigid day. I puttered around and worked on my latest jigsaw puzzle. It is much easier than the last one.

Last night we enjoyed the second coming of our homemade beef soup for supper. Since that didn’t take a lot of my time or effort, I pulled out my trusty ‘New Purity Cookbook’ and whipped up a quick family favourite desert. It is relatively quick now. When I was baking with the assistance of three pre-schoolers, it was a serious time commitment. Even then, it was always worth it because it tastes amazing and it never failed to amaze the kiddos. Now that they are all in their forties it is a bit harder to amaze them, but I still think it is magical.

It is time to get going, so that is it for today. Take care and have a great day!

That sounds delicious, Ann Marie! I hope that Kat will be OK, she’s such a cutie!

Hoping Kat breezed right through the surgery and all will be well with her afterward. You are coming right along on that puzzle. I am hungry and now you have me drooling LOL so I am off the fix me something to eat.

That should have been breezes not breezed. Sorry

Lol. Dan took me out for lunch today. Tonight’s supper won’t be so much to drool over. 😂

My lunch was not as yummy as your food looked but it was good. I just fixed me a few potatoes and beans. I will snack on some little something later today. I am still thinking of your saucy butterscotch pudding though, I love butterscotch.

I’m a chocaholic but butterscotch is right up there. 👍

Wow that looks amazing. My cat has had dental surgery twice now. His teeth are terrible. Thankfully he seemed to recover pretty quickly from it. Hope all goes well for Kat.

I went back to this post and added the recipe. I meant to have it included but obviously got distracted.

Oh good, I didn’t want to say, because I was like “how do you make it” but I hesitated to ask, because I was thinking it was supposed to be self-explanatory to people who bake a lot (and I don’t!). *smiles*

Lol.. no and trust me, I haven’t baked a lot for twenty years. I bought some expensive baking sheets when my first granddaughter was born (to make all those cute grandbaby cookies). When she was ten years old, my daughter was helping me clean out our cupboards and she adopted them because they still had the original stickers on them. 🙄 Ask anything, anytime!
