It is Day 56 of my Daily Food Diary and a beautiful day it is shaping up to be. The sun is shining and our temperatures are hovering above freezing so it’s all good.
Thanks to the great weather, I am finding it easier to step up my activity level this week. My morning aerobics are, as always, the cornerstone of my fitness program. The rest of my day varies. Yesterday afternoon, I spent an hour outside – just doing odds and ends and getting a good dose of fresh air. I came in, had tea with Dan, and danced for an hour before starting supper. π
I haven’t been doing afternoon weight and strength training for a few weeks, since I had my hernia incident. I am looking forward to having my repair done so I can feel confident getting back to it.

Yikes – but I am determined not to scrimp on nutrition just to have a bowl of ice cream. It’s all about balance. π
That’s it for today! Take care and have a great day! ππ

Mm ice cream! Everything in moderation, right? ππ

Yes, and it’s a bummer I can’t eat ice cream unless it’s sugar-free… π

I agree! Ilove it and I love that I can always dance to fit my ability – from when I just started out, to through my broken arm, to now. And the music lifts me up emotionally. All around, dancing is just great exercise!

I don’t even like ice cream but Dan would roll his eyes if I just ate caramel covered pecans. π

Maple walnut was my Dad’s absolute favourite! π

I understand why. It seems only natural for a Canadian to like maple anything! I am with him!

I left a couple of messages on your last blog. I don’t know if either went through. I mentioned that the nutritionist I talked to a few weeks ago told me that Pure Maple Syrup is the best natural sweetener you can use.

I was having issues with the reply function. Sorry. I agree that maple syrup and honey are okay in small amounts. Sigh!

Most things are. π I hope B gets better results the next time he gets tests done, so you can ease up a bit.
