Daily Food Diary – Day 149 of 365

It is Day 149 of my Daily Food Diary and it is shaping up to be another beautiful sunny day in Saskatchewan.

I just got back from a nice walk around the neighborhood with Dan and Molly.Β

I wanted Dan to take this picture so I could show off my new handy-dandy dog walking fanny pack.  I was laughing because Molly was looking at everything except  Dan and the camera.  She is photogenic but she will not pose.  πŸ˜‚

We are on a great round of visits from the grandkids.  Last night it was Prim’s turn.   We had monster chicken salads for supper  and she finished hers off  no problem.  After supper, she polished off a bowl of ice cream with fresh fruit.  She helped me with dishes 😊…. and we played cribbage.  Prim had never played before.  I have played a bit but not for at least two years.  Fortunately,  Grandpa Dan  was here to help us with the first couple of rounds.

And yes, Prim WON.  At least I got past the skunk line. πŸ™‚

Yesterday, I wrote about my efforts to embody my core values.Β  I have been making a list to use in my daily “I AM” meditation.Β  I don’t expect everyone would agree with the values on my list.Β  I know some of these words could be questionable as values, but they are ‘valuable’ to me.Β Β  I know some are considered obsolete or a weakness in our society.Β   I don’t. πŸ™„ I know some would think there are important values missing.Β  I do keep adding to the list and some values are just not my values.

I’m always open to suggestions, if anyone has values to share in the comment section, please do!

  1. I’ve never played that game, nor do I know how to play any card games at all. I can’t understand how they are played, anyway, great photos Anne! Molly is very photogenic and cute. Have a great weekend!

  2. We love β€œcrib”, as we refer to cribbage. Love the pic of you and Molly! The sunshine we enjoyed this morning is now masked by clouds of forest fire smoke πŸ₯² I can’t imagine what people farther north are going through, and I truly feel for them, Anne.

  3. Thank you, Terry. Me too! That Onion Lake fire is straight north of Lloydminster. Worried about Son Dan and family and how bad the smoke will be in a couple of weeks when we are there. My daughter’s fiance was scheduled to go back to his base camp (gravel pit) at Dechambeault but his company evacuated all their men and equipment (thank God!).

  4. I sure hope your family stays safe and I sincerely hope the smoke that gets down this far doesn’t impact your lungs. If it’s still bad up there, maybe best to alter your plans. I remember the Hanson Lake Road fires several years ago when we lived in Melfort. Even with windows and doors closed, we could taste the smoke inside our house! For now, for you in Regina, best to stay inside until the wind shifts again. Take good care, Anne.

  5. Thank you, Terry. For now I am inside and using the enforces time within to get caught up on housework. We will see what happens. We were up at Lloyd during the fires in Alberta a couple of years ago. It was horrid outside but inside, it was Smokefree.
