The day has finally arrived! It is election day 2020 in the USA. I have my opinion as to the results I would like to see but as a Canadian, my opinion is pretty much irrelevant today.
I would, however like to take this time to wish all of our neighbours to the south the best of luck today.
I hope that in the midst of this global pandemic, that you were/are able to cast your vote in a safe and confident manner. I definitely hope that election day does not lead to another spike of Covid-19 cases in your country.
Regardless of election results, I pray that cooler heads will prevail. I hope that you will be able to avoid the unrest, violence and turmoil that we have seen far too often in recent years.
Finally, I just hope that whichever way this election goes, that the next four years are good years for you, your families and friends and for your beautiful country.
Take care & stay safe.

Thanks…pray for us. I went early vote. They gave us daubers(that work on the phone too) to press the screen. I still dont trust changable machines. We had to wear masks, etc.
Businesses are boarding up. Fences are being put up around city buildings. I’ve never seen such insanity before. Canada may want to put up a fence. Some of you are my relatives! Stay safe!

I am sorry things are not looking better but maybe it is ‘hope for the best, plan for the worst’. Interesting that you get machines – we get paper ballots and disposable pencils (old school).

Thanks AnneMarie, everyone has an opinion of what they feel is best for America. Though anxious, I’m filled with hope and pray for my country, land that I love. (Great shot of the Canadian Geese)…

Anne Marie, thanks for your good wishes (appreciate your prayers, too!) I voted 2 weeks ago. I also hope COVID won’t spike today, but they are taking extra precautions at our local polling stations to make it safer. (Cleaning every voting booth b4 use etc.) After the election is over (might take a few days for definitive results in some races) our country may need a massive group therapy session! 💐✨🌟✨💐

Thank you so much. I voted several weeks ago, many here in my area voted early. I am hoping for the best for our country after today. I am just so glad it will all soon be over and we can get on with life without all of the politics.

As you can see, I’m catching up on your blog. I appreciate, thought belatedly, the well wishes in this post. While we got a new president cool heads didn’t prevail and we’re still sorting through the rubble.

I don’t know if any politician – good, bad, left or right, has a hope in hell of making things better nowadays. You get millions of people all wanting what they want and unwilling to give an inch on anything. Who can fix that or make things better for humanity in general?

That is the million dollar question. With the world either baking or literally ablaze we’d best agree on climate change or nature will be “fixing” it for us.
