We missed out on the blizzard this weekend but we got a good dump of snow last night. I have been out shoveling this morning. I am feeling better today than I have for a few weeks but have to take it pretty slow. Dan went out and did a stretch because he doesn’t think I should push myself too far. It doesn’t look that impressive on these pictures but the snow is a good foot deep and HEAVY. I will be busy all day. πβοΈβοΈ

Glad you are feeling better. You sure did get some snow. π The snow is beautiful on that tree. I enjoyed all the pictures. Take care and have a wonderful day.

If I lived there I would definitely go for a plunge in a frozen lake. Nice pics

Thank you! I think if you tried to jump into our Wascana Lake today you would knock yourself out on the ice. π

I probably would….winter swimming around Rome is a different story…but we do have snow capped mountains not far from here where temperatures can drop to -25 Celsius….

Looks pretty, especially the birdhouse in the snow. Be careful and stay safe!

Thank you, Betty! I thought the birdhouse looked really nice today, too. I had to dig my way through but I did go put out food for our birds and squirrels.

You got dumped on pretty good there too! It looks like we may have got about the same amount as you did. We are situated about 2 hours north west of Saskatoon. They got more there. Out here we are in a village close to the highway and so we got lots of snow blowing and drifting in!
Beautiful picture with the tree and snow π
Take care and stay warm!

I lived in that area when my kids were little Lloydminster, North Battleford – big city of Spruce Lakeπ. I have a some at Lloydminster so will still go up there regularly. Glad we weren’t crossing the Borden Bridge this weekend!

That big city of Spruce Lake is only about 10 minutes from us π

How long ago did you live there, if you don’t mind me asking?

Forty years agoπ€£. Most of my grandkids are not little anymore. Can’t believe you drive to North Battleford for work! I drove from Spruce Lake to North Battleford once with my tots in thick fog. Still freaks me out.

Yes it’s a long drive. The older I get the more I don’t like it. My Grandparents are from the area too. Have you heard of John and Bev Naylor?

Sounds a bit familiar but I don’t think we really knew them. My husband at the time worked for Sask Tel. We were only at Spruce lake for 5 years.

Wouldn’t that have been something if you knew them haha! It was great “meeting” you!
