All is quiet on the home front today so here I am checking in from the very frigid Saskatchewan. 🥶
Things are going ok around here. I am getting relatively capable of taking care of myself and Molly and the household chores – meals, dishes, laundry, dusting, sweeping, making the bed and such. Although, I did have some much appreciated help this past week.

Dan also took me back to the Pasqua for my first follow up with the orthopedic surgeon. Everything went as smoothly as my trip to the ER. There is not much to be done for two weeks when I go back for x-rays and another follow up. The doctor and his nurse did give us a bit more advice on things I could, should, or shouldn’t do. They also have me a new sling which is way more comfortable than the original one.
And… I sent Genie home with a treat for George and Nova – a small bag of sunflower seeds.

Other than that, I do not have much news. I would like to thank everyone for all of the love and support and encouragement that I have received on WordPress for the past year as I worked on my health and wellness. I know that my current level of fitness helped to minimize the injuries from my Molly mishap and that it is making my recovery far easier than it would have been otherwise.
It is funny that we (at least I 🤦) have always recognized the importance of having funds set aside for the unexpected financial glitches that arise in life. Likewise, I have always recognized the importance of maintaining my residence, vehicle, furniture, electronics, etc… But, I never really considered how important it was to maintain my own body – until now. Now I realize that the few minutes a day that I invest in my health and wellness pays such huge dividends in making my life so much easier and better – every day and through any crisis or challenge that comes along. So… thank you for helping me to get to this point in my journey. 💞💞💞

Take care and have a great day! 🌞💞
I am amazed at how much you can accomplish! I hope you aren’t overdoing it. Anyway, congrats and hang in there!

Thank you, Karla. I am very careful and I keep my sling on except when I am bathing, changing, or relaxing my arm like the doctor showed me.

Thank you, Alice. We always enjoy our Genie visits. Supper was delicious but unfortunately Genie had to go run some errands for her little sister so she couldn’t stay to eat with us.

You are a good patient! Take care. I am thinking of you! I would send some extra energy but I think you already have more than I have! Ha, ha.

I don’t think so Karla, but there are days when I would trade you Molly for your ducks and a couple of chickens. Some days…

I seriously doubt it! Although they are not as energetic as Molly, they do require lots of attn in the winter. They get booored very easily!

I meant that most days your life takes way more energy than mine. But Molly has the occasional day when a trade would be a good deal for me.

It certainly helps and honestly I don’t remember the last time we saw it. It has been foggy and cloudy for weeks.

Wow, I don’t think I could handle that anymore after ten years down here. That is one of the factors in my decision to stay in Las Vegas.

Thank you, Sue. TBH Genie’s not that big and the cage is not that small. 😂

It made me happy to read that Genie and Dan helped with some things. Dan is doing great with your hair. I hope when you go for your next appointment you get all good news. I know about the change of sling and you are right the second one is more comfortable. Nose kisses from Chancy for Molly being a good girl. Those flowers are beautiful. Have a great day sweet Anne.

You are right about the protection of being in good shape when we fall. I took a bad fall last fall and credited my fitness for preventing any major damage. Get well soon and be gentle as you arm heals.

Thank you, Elizabeth. I am glad to hear that you suffered no major damage from your fall. I am being cautious for sure!

I have made it a point to work on my balance. After a fall I got too cautious even though it was a sidewalk problem. I now am back to my previous speed but on different sidewalks.
