I have been MIA for a couple of days. Dan and I have been working on getting things in order in case I am less than capable next week after my hernia repair. If nothing else, we are ready to celebrate by rocking around our Christmas Tree. (I have the chair to rock – Dan and Kat can lounge on the sofa. π)
Considering the scarcity of trees this year, we were fortunate to find the perfect one for us!All decked out in lights and ornaments.I lost my Father and Dan lost his Mother shortly before we met. We celebrated our first Christmas together with my Mother and Dan’s Father. Dan had these ornaments made to hang on our first tree so that all of our parents would be with us.Some pretty glass ornaments that have survived years of kids and grandchildren.Child friendlier ornamentsI found a few of these snowflakes in our ornaments. No idea where they came from but they are so cute and sparkly.
I don’t remember when we last had a Christmas tree. I am so glad that we got one this year and that we got it all decorated up! I hope you enjoyed the little tour.
That is it for today. Take care and have a great day. π
I Love your Christmas tree and your sentimental ornaments. It’s much like our ornaments and tree decorations! Good luck on your hernia surgery coming up soon. π
Thank you, Diana! Guess we are both a bit ‘old school’. And thanks – I am hoping it will not be too big of a deal and that I am back to pre-hernia level soon. That would be so nice.
Pretty tree and nice ornaments. Rocking around the tree in a chair sounds like a great idea to me. The parent ornaments, such a sweet idea. Enjoy the pretty tree.
You have so many sweet ornaments, Annmarie. I’m sorry for your losses, guys. You did a wonderful job decorating your tree, lovely! β€οΈπ¨π¦

Thank you, John. That was twenty some years ago and of course my Mom and Dan’s Dad are with them now.

Nice tree! I was a bit too eager this year and got my real tree back in November. I just couldn’t help myself.

I am never that eager but from the availability of trees here, it was probably a good year to get a jump on it.

Thank you, Frony! Yes rocking in a chair is the best way to go. π The patent ornaments mean a lot to both Dan and I.
