The blog post that I chose to review/update today is one from December of 2020. Meditation has been an ongoing part in my process of going from employment to retirement. This post is one of a number of posts that I have written on my experiences with meditation in the past couple of years.

My current thoughts on meditation are beautifully expressed by these words spoken by Thich Nhat Hanh…. “Meditation is not evasion; it is a serene encounter with reality.”

That is all I have for today. Take care and have a great day!💞
Lovely photo, I’ve never tried meditation.

It takes a while to find what works for any particular individual. I like using guided meditations or music to meditate to on You Tube.

I don’t know if it really counts as meditation but I found this a real benefit of long distance running

Walking meditation is a thing. I think if you ‘get into the zone’ running, it would count.

One of the reasons I enjoy yoga, which has elements of meditation, is that it helps me focus on my breathing. I know I should do it more often, but I usually put it off and then forget. Today is a new day though.

I think that meditation must be very healing for the lungs you have written about. They get a chance to relax with your breathing. I have a regular quiet time each morning though mine is more prayer than meditation. It settles me too.

Meditation and prayer are definitely good for any respiratory issues (as well as any physical, mental, or emotional ones.)
