One Extreme to the Other

I haven’t had much happening this week, so thought I would spare everyone the non-details.

We did get another foot or so of snow in the past few days. We are running out of place to put it – as is everyone else.

Front yard
Started shoveling out
Back yard – Kat’s path is a bit snowed under.
Seems like a good time to start seedlings.
Waiting to see some greenery…🙄

The snow is a lot deeper than it looks. It is the way the shots were taken. I got quite a few seeds started – mostly flowers but I did start a few peppers, tomatoes, and onions.

Anyway, that’s the excitement in my life for now. Take care and have a great day!💞

  1. That is a LOT of snow. Maybe this will be the last that you get until next year. Hope you see some green on your seedlings soon. I hope you are having a nice weekend.

  2. Wow, you are still in the middle of the snow. We enjoyed a sunny and relative warm (+12°C) week that gave us the feeling that spring is in the air. Many greetz and for tomorrow, I wish you a lovely sunday.

  3. It’s a lovely day to stay indoors! I’ve seen that much snow in Michigan over the years and it’s a pain in the back to deal with for sure, AnneMarie! Spring will pop soon! 🙏🏻

  4. It felt very springish. We do like hot peppers but it is one thing that we are pretty good at growing so we enjoy growing them. Dan gives away LOTS of them to his friends and co-workers. Hot peppers and tomatoes. 🙂

  5. Yea, John… It will be flooding in any time. 😂 We haven’t had snow like this for ages and I don’t think Regina has gotten nearly as much as other areas in Saskatchewan then winter.

  6. That looks like a lot of snow!! We got a lot of rain overnight and it’s supposed to reach a high of 15C this afternoon, so most of our snow is disappearing. It’s finally starting to look (and feel) like spring.

  7. It wasn’t a joke. 🥴 We are lucky to have a big yard with a lot of open space . They show places on the news where people are just buried in snow up past their houses and garages.

  8. I am very careful. I did something to my right shoulder a few days ago so I have to throw the snow with my left arm (which is useless at the best of times.). I make sure not to get too much snow on the shovel at any given time. 🙄

  9. We got more snow than we’ve had for the last five years combined. I have a sister who lives northeast of Edmonton. Their winter has been crazy – wind, ice, rain – right now they are buried in snow.

  10. Sure sorry to hear about your shoulder and I hope it will heal soon. I fell on ice and had to have shoulder surgery a few years ago. Both of my shoulders have limited mobility because of falls. I am glad to hear you are careful out on that snow.

  11. Oh, Anne I hope too yours does not become permanent. You are right about limited mobility being frustrating. I never knew how much shoulders are used until I lost a lot of mobility in mine.

  12. Cute. I have had most of the plants you have listed for Leo. 🙄. I am also very good at buying plants that are pure poison for my dog – eucalyptus, chives, currant bush, and the like. Fortunately, we have a front yard that she can not access. 🙄

  13. I am trying to use my left arm but am so used to using my right arm for everything that it is hard. We went shopping this afternoon and I could barely lift my right arm by the time I got home. 🤦

  14. I should have consulted with you for plant ideas for the horoscopes! *laugh* The only horrible death I cause is to plants themselves…even though I love growy things and nature!

  15. I am so sorry about your arm. I sure hope your rotator cuff is not torn or injured. Difficulty lifting your arm sounds like a real possibility that could be what happened.

  16. I don’t think it is a serious injury – it doesn’t hurt until I go to use it. But, I think I keep aggravating it because I forget to use my left arm for lifting anything at all heavy.

  17. Rarely do we see any snow here in town so we need to drive at least one hour to get to the nearest mountain… But it’s worth it, as there is nothing like rolling in the snow. I’d love to have snow in my front yard

  18. We have so much snow in our front yard that I cannot shovel it anymore. I can’t lift the shovel high enough to throw the snow on to the pile. Our last storm made it as high or higher than my shoulders.
