February 1st – Day 27, 28, 29, 30, 31   of My 2026 Daily Activity Journal

It is FEBRUARY! January is behind us and I am ready to move on and UP!

For the past three days I have been attending the 2026 Rise Up (online) seminar with Tony Robbins.

I have been familiar with Tony Robbins forever! I have never been drawn to his program.  From the advertisements for his  seminars,  there seemed to be   a lot of noise, a lot of hype, a lot of jumping  around and hootin’ and hollerin’.  NOT  my comfort zone!  He struck me as being a snake oil salesman and his program rather cultish and goofy.

(I am more comfortable with spiritual or metaphysical teachings.  I have never hooted or hollered in my life and jumping around has been  confined to aerobic workouts and that one time I stepped on a bumble bee.)

But, I was in a January funk and Tony Robbins has been successful for a LONG time, so I signed up.. TEN HOURS of Tony Robbins.

The seminar was free.  There was an upgrade available for a small price, but I did not feel it was necessary.  Committing to  TEN HOURS of anything is enough to ensure that I will give it my all.

My overall impression was that I like Tony Robbins.  He appears genuine and sincere. His wife Sage, who appeared for a few minutes on Day 2 seems to be very intelligent with an abudance of common sense.

I appreciated that Tony Robbins provides a solid plan for participants to follow to overcome specific challenges and to create more control over their lives in general.  But, what I appreciated most was that he explains WHY each step of any such plan is important.

On day one, Tony touched on what it takes to succeed in any endeavor before we even begin to work towards a goal..

There are only three steps and each must be taken in turn..

1) State.. Before anything else one must get into a proper state – excitement, enthusiasm, joy!   This is where the jumping around, hootin’ and hollerin’ comes in.  The energy kicks things off strong, but the emotion locks it in.

This rang true for me.  I know it works!  I have tried all of my life to build up strength and stamina, and I have failed over and over! But, four years ago when I began my Health and Fitness Journey, that is exactly what I did.  I didn’t think about it, I knew I had to do something so I got off my butt and I danced to Buddy Holly.

TWO MINUTES and I was dying.. but I was pumped up, ready to go, and LOCKED IN!

2) Story.. See where you are coming from, take an honest look at where you are, and decide where you want to go.

It took me months to set any kind of goal and I keep moving the goal post further out as I go.  As I become more, I want more (health and fitness).

3) STRATEGY.. It doesn’t matter what you want or how badly you want it, you need to have a plan.

That has also been something that is constantly changing for me.  I am changing, I am learning, the plan has to change with my changing needs.  But I always have a plan to proceed.

If I had gotten nothing more than this out of the entire seminar, it would have  been worth it.   But there is more that I will touch on in blogs to come.

That is enough for today.  Take care and have a great day! 💞🤗

Full Moon Madness

There are nights when the wolves are silent, and only the moon howls.”  – George Carlin

It is that time of month again.   Full Moon madness, yea!

People are emotional, computers are crashing, and chaos reigns – once again.

We should have called her ‘Chaos’...
And people (granddaughter Genie) are just standing out on a pile of snow howling back at the moon. 💞

Whatever you are doing to deal with this month’s offering of moon madness, just know that tomorrow it peaks and we gradually slide back to a place of peaceful sanity. 👍

Take care and have a great rest of the day💞🌞

September 21st – Sharing is Caring

I am pressed for time today, so once again I am just sharing a few random ‘pieces of my mind’.

This one needs no explanation as to what was going through my mind when I brought in the mail this morning. 🤨 (In case you can’t tell, the city found four coffee cups when they scanned our recycling).
I invited Mark and Dom over for an early birthday supper for Mark tonight.  We still had leftover carrot cake so I baked them each a cookie for desert.  😂
Full Moon last night
What is that little blue bean?
And where did it go? 😳

Those last three photos were all taken one after another and I was almost in the same place. (I was a bit closer to the fence for the middle shot). We see those little blue beans often – sometimes alone, sometimes in groups. No idea what they are. Sometimes there are some behind our house, sometimes beside our house, sometimes on the power poles. Wierd. 🤔

That is all I have for today! Take care and have a good rest of the day💞

July 24th – Beyond Magic

New computer – up and running!

Dan picked up our new computer on his way home from work on Thursday. Yesterday, he unboxed it and attached all of the wires to connect it to all the outlying bits and pieces. Last night I got it up and running! 🎉🎉🎉

The magic in this is that technical skills are not my strong suit. In fact, my technical skills probably rate just south of my ‘handling power tool‘ skills. You know, those skills that enabled me to attach my cell phone to a shipping carton while trying to operate a tape gun. The same skills that saw me almost take out a neighbour with our electric knife. Those skills… 🙄

My technical skills are worse. Setting up an alarm clock is typically a two or three hour process involving cuss words and a couple of glasses of wine. Setting up a software program is worse. The instructions might as well be in a foreign language. Chances are, they probably are and I just haven’t figured that out yet.

However, last night I set out to get our computer up and running and I got the job done! Without wine or cuss words! There were a couple of small hiccups. The first being that it seemed the keyboard was non-functional (operator error). The second was that, despite very clearly asking if Norton Antivirus would be installed on this computer and getting a very clear ‘NO’, it was definitely there. 🤦 The good news is, after my initial meltdown, it seems I was able to totally uninstall that abomination and successfully install AVG! Yay me!

Our new computer is up and running! Now for the beyond magical.

Last night, there was a full moon! A full moon and I successfully completed a complicated technical task. That is indeed beyond magical.

I am not a full moon fixing type of person. In the days leading up to, and including the day of a full moon, I destroy. Vehicles break down. Tools and electronics cease to function. Meals burn. Once during a full moon, I walked through the office where I was working and jammed four printers without laying a hand on any of them. One was a blueprint copier! A blueprint copier is like a giant wringer from the top of an old-fashioned wringer washer. It consists of two massive rollers that feet a giant piece of paper through print heads. There is supposedly no way to jam one. I did it. I did it so well that the giant piece of paper running through it totally vanished. The technician who came out to make things right was amazed.

Anyway, last night there was a full moon and I successfully set up our new computer. I feel so darn magical!

I hope everyone is having a nice (full moon) weekend. Take care and I will see you tomorrow. 💞

Doing My Part

Pink Super Moon – April 2020

I am not into witchcraft but I do follow a witch on Instagram. She is the sweetest person, shares my love of nature – especially trees, and she uses her witchcraft to help and heal.

Today, Ashley was doing an all day, full moon, spell for everyone who has been struggling to deal with Covid-19. As a prayer of healing for all, she was burning candles from 9 am to 9 pm.

Ashley invited anyone who was so inclined to join in with her at any time. I decided that, witch or not, I would join hands and hearts with Ashley tonight.
