194 More Days

194 Days until I am retired! I cannot wait for the freedom to get up and know I am free to plan my day around the weather and my personal whims 😊

I really thought that I would face retirement with some reluctance. The truth is, I am READY! I have enjoyed my career, especially my current position, but these last two years have been so frustrating and stressful an the past couple of weeks have brought so much miserable winter weather. I am just so ready to start this new chapter of my life. πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ

  1. These pictures are beautiful! I just celebrated 7 years retired and I have loved every minute of it. Retirement is a great thing if you remain active and involved in your community. Good luck with the next 194 days!

  2. You are right – it is what you make of it. You can sit down and feel life is over – or enjoy the freedom to try new activities, enjoy ones you did not have time for when working. I guess I enjoy retirement so much because when battling cancer I was not sure I would live to enjoy it – so I treasure every moment.

  3. I’ve been retired for five years now, and I have never been busier! But you’re right, it is so great to relax those disciplines and listen to the rain beating against the window without having to go out in it! May those days pass quickly – do a little preparation to fill in the spare hours. I think that pays.

  4. I definitely have a to do list and my kids are preparing for my retirement. One son is planning a trip to Mexico and the other is planning one to England, once Grandma is free for long-term babysittingπŸ˜‚. Glad to hear you are enjoying your retirement! Love to hear it.

  5. I’m teaching fitness classes to retired seniors every week. Their retired lives are absolutely fabulous and most of them are keeping themselves busy. You will surely enjoy it xx

  6. Your comment reminds me of this woman who has just retired and joined my class few months ago. πŸ˜„ She was having a hard time at first, some people in their 70s whose been participating my classes for few years are more fitting than this woman πŸ˜…. She is doing much better recently. Even just a few minutes of exercises regularly makes big difference xx

  7. It is really hard to stay fit when you sit at a desk for eleven hours a day. By the time I get home I am toast. It helped to use a yoga ball to sit on. I did that for a couple of years and made a world of difference but I got tired of buying new balls because the shop guys would bring metal shavings up to the office and they would bust my balls😟. Looking forward to being more active when I retireπŸ™‚
