This one is for all the women in my life – especially the young women just starting out, or the older ones just starting over – a new job, a new relationship, a new lifestyle, a new life. Whatever the case, this is for us.
“Strong women don’t have attitudes, we have standards”. – Marilyn Munroe“The question isn’t “Who’s going to let me?” It’s “Who’s going to stop me?”– Ayn Rand” Don’t let anyone speak for you and don’t rely on others to fight for you”. – Michelle Obama“Above all, be the heroine of your story, not the victim.” – Nora Ephron“A strong woman stands up for herself. A stronger woman stands up for everyone else.” – Unknown“A strong woman knows she has strength enough for the journey, a woman of strength knows it is in the journey that she will become strong.” – Luke Easter“The strongest actions for a woman is to love herself, be herself, and shine amongst those who never believed she could. ” – UnknownAnd finally… ” It’s your road and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.” – Rumi
That’s it for today. Take care and have a great day! ππ
Thank you, Dwight! I am so happy to have you in mine as well. And Jackie! She is just so bubbly on her check ins. BTW I was thinking of your daughter, too. So many young women are starting out in life with so much love and passion and courage. It really gives hope for humanity. π
I am old-fashion and I know it. So if this offends anyone, my apologies. I feel women today have gone one step over the line. I don’t see much difference between women and men these days and it saddens me. However, your last quote by Rumi I do agree with!
I think I know what you mean Karla and I agree. A lot of women these days do not differentiate between being strong and being tough. Part of being a strong man or woman should be recognizing and respecting the differences between men and women and that neither sex is better than the other. (although I prefer being a woman, personally). A lot of women now days don’t seem to have any respect for men at all these days, and I think that is particularly sad. Either way, you never have to worry that I will be offended by your comments. Everyone has a right to their opinions – especially when they are expressed graciously.
Beautiful!

Thank you, John. I wish they had more than just like. Sometimes you just want to support a post but ‘like’ seems so inappropriate.

By the way – feel free to share with your daughter if you want to, John. She was one of the strong younger women I was thinking of. π

This is my favorite of all the beautiful quotes you shared. There is no better validation than that which comes from within. π₯°
