Another Friday! They seem to come around so much faster since I retired. π€ I got up to a chilly +6 degrees celsius this morning but we are looking at another Saskatchewan scorcher by mid afternoon.

Down east in Toronto, Genie has been out and about again. This time she has been checking out the street art. As always, she took the time to take some photos and sent them along to be shared.

Genie has found some interesting streets to walk in her travels across Canada this summer. I could see Dan and I wandering in her footsteps some day. Who knows where life will take us when Dan joins me in retirement?
That is it for today. Take care and have a great day! ππ€
Wow, Genie knows how to find some great photos! Molly is so cute sleeping, and that squirrel couldn’t be more relaxed! So cute. Happy Friday! ππ»π¨π¦βΊοΈ

More good work from Genie; and I was so admiring of the abstract-like composition of the squirrel picture that I couldn’t see the creature without a search π

I can’t imagine why they stretch out on the fence like that – especially when it is blazing hot outside of

I love the street art! It is one of my favorite things to do when I am in a city. I read an article just recently about all the squirrels “splatting” and it said they do it to cool off by putting their body in contact with a cooler surface. I never heard of it, nor have I seen a splatting squirrel.

Lol. I can’t imagine that our steel fence is cool but that was one splatting squirrel! I love street art too. I love Winnipeg, Manitoba. They have great walking streets.

I love that Genie is always thinking of you; and I agree that every street should have a piece of artwork like the one done by Amanda Lederle. It’s brilliant!

I have a blog friend who has posted many pictures of street art. The ones she chose are new and much welcomed. Thanks.

The street art is just beautiful, Annemarie. If. you have a moment, please take a look at the blog post I added this afternoon. I have been thinking that your sweet Molly looks so much like a much younger version of our Zena. I posted about Zena and the current heatwave, and I’d love you to see her. Maybe if they had an Ancestry.com for dogs we’d find they are related. LOL! Have a wonderful weekend. And stay cool.

I love the sculpture the best. I guess the street art is good and there is a place for it I am sure. Does Dan have any plans to retire soon?

I think he has his full pension in 2024.

As you know, time whizzes by. Before you know it, it will be Dan’s retirement party you are planning to go to!

Itβs wild how much the temperature can fluctuate! But hey, at least itβs cooling down overnight, so that’s something.

I don’t mind if it gives us a few hours respite from the flies, wasps, and mosquitoes this year. It has been just horrid!
